In South Africa most white people do not pick up their own shit, clean their own dishes, vacuum their own rugs, fold their own laundry, or mop their own floors. Cheap labor is readily available in the form of a maid, and the economy is literally begging those who can afford one to go ahead and hire one already.
Priscilla is the name of the maid at my hotel. She gets paid about 200 rand, or 30 dollars, a day to pick up our shit, clean our dishes, and do our laundry.
